PCI P2PE

We make security audits a less daunting process for you.

PCI Point-to-point encryption (PCI P2PE)

PCI P2PE is a security standard established by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council (SSC), aims to safeguard the secure transfer of account data.  By adhering to these guidelines, software and hardware developers involved in the electronic payments network can guarantee mutual compatibility and resilience against potential vulnerabilities.

Under the P2PE standards, transaction data is encrypted from the moment the customer enters information at the merchant until it reaches the secure point of decryption at the payment processor. With P2PE, transaction data (including cardholder information and sensitive authentication data) remains unreadable until the secure decryption point, where appropriate cryptographic processes and keys are employed.

The PCI P2PE requirements encompass P2PE solutions that encompass P2PE applications and components.  The assessment’s objective is to verify that these solutions, applications, or components, along with their respective environments, adhere to the PCI P2PE standard.
